These “Premium” Alloy Rim Edge Protector is used to protect an alloy wheel from and possible damage caused by the tyre lever when removing and fitting tyres to allo wheels.
When tyre fitting work is carried out there is always a risk of tyre machine tools and tyre levers coming into contact with the alloy wheel and causing damage to the rim edge. By using an Alloy Rim Edge Protector when carring out tyre replacment work, you can reduce the risk of this happening.
The premium version of the Alloy Rim Edge Protector if made of a plyable nylon and is easier to fit onto the rim edge and less likely to split.
