The PSO PS15 Standard is a professional tyre regroover, This regrooving tool comes with a 370W power supply. Complete with four heating positions and one zero setting, selected via a small manual rotary switch on the front of its panel. This model is renowned for its strength and reliability, and its pistol grip handle with its wide brass blade head make for comfortable and incredibly stable regrooving tasks.

What is Regrooving?

Regrooving consists of cutting a pattern into the tyre’s base rubber. Many “Regroovable” HGV tyres are built with an increased depth of base rubber that allows for fresh grooves to be cut into a worn tyre. Effectively regenerating the tread depth and pattern, enabling an increase in tyre life and reducing the overall cost of the tyre.

Some racing tyres can also have grooves cut into them to create an “intermediate” or “wet” tyre pattern and can be done on the day at short notice reducing the requirement to have to transport many different tyre types.

Tyre regrooving should NEVER! be carried out on standard road going tyres as they are built with a specific depth of base rubber. This is illegal and dangerous!!
