The Teco 480 tyre changer is the “lift and turn” variant of our general workhorse tyre fitting machines that we supply. A rugged tyre changer that not only has ample proportions to accommodate large sized wheels and tyres found on modern high performance vehicles, but is also designed for working in high paced, high volume, hard working environments that also require a smaller footprint to be located in.

Teco 480 automatic tyre changer

Specifically designed for tyre industry professionals for working on car and light commercial vehicles. Suitable for working on wheel diameters from 10″ to 27″ without any adaptors via a mechanicaly adjustable turntable. The Teco 480 is an Automatic class tyre changer with a Lift & Turn type rear support column with many innovative technical solutions such as:-

Patented bead breaker arm.
Integrated quick change de-mount head.
Double regulation system for take off clearances.
Double acting bead breaker cylinder.
Special clamping system geometry.
Backward raked or angled demount head column.

The Teco 480 tyre changer is supplied as standard with protective (nylon 6-6) parts. These cover the elements that could cause damage to the rim and comprises of the following:

Premium jaw clamp covers.
Bead breaker blade cover.
Upper and Lower de-mount head inserts.
Standard tyre Lever protective sleeve.

The Teco 480 tyre changer can be upgraded further with the addition of the UPH assist arm or SPH assist arm. Used to minimize effort to fit extreme low profile and run flat tyres when equipped, reducing operator fatigue.

The Teco 480 is also available in the T.I version. An additional tubeless inflating device, which will blow a large volume of air through the clamping jaws into the back of the wheel rim while clamped on the turntable (via a foot operated inflation pedal) to aid the fitter when inflating tyres. This tyre changer is available in Single Phase (240 Volt) 1 Speed or a Three Phase (415 Volt) 2 speed electric motor.
