Teco UPH & BPS Assist Arm

Teco tyre changers have the option to be fitted with a pneumatic assist arm. The UPH Assist Arm is a device to aid the operator when fitting low profile and run flat tyres.

Due to the nature of the tyre types above, increased pressure is required during the fitting process. Ensuring that the tyre bead is kept within the bead well avoiding damaging the tyre during fitment.

The extra pressure required can be applied manually via tyre levers. However, this has the increased risk of wheel damage made by the levers. Using an assist arm reduces any risk by removing the requirement of tyre levers during fitting work.

The UPH also has a patented “twin rear roller” system that helps with the removal of large and oversized tyres found on 4×4 vehicles.

The UPH has different arm variants suitable for different tyre changer models:

• UPH S22 – Suitable for Teco 22, Teco 23 (with a dedicated mounting kit) and Teco 27.
• UPH S26 – Suitable for Teco 28 Special.
• UPH A22 – Suitable for Teco 35, Teco45 and Teco 35 Racing.
• UPH A28 – Suitable for Teco 36 Special, Teco 40, Teco 42, Teco 46 and Teco 48.

The UPH mounts to the Left-hand side of the tyre changer.
